ST microelectronics - France

Role in the TEMPO consortium

ST Grenoble investigates the Spiking Neural Network (SNN), the 3nd generation artificial neural networks used for machine learning. ST contributes to the System architecture and the integration of the developed SNN done by University of Zurich  with the STM32 solutions. Since SNN can reduce power consumption compared to traditional CNN by several orders of magnitude, ST will evaluate the benefits in term of power and performance of using SNN in battery-operated devices based on STM32.  During the implementation phase STG and STC will cooperate with CEA, and the Swiss cluster to define the most appropriate process technology for implementing the machine learning solutions proposed by CEA and UZH.
